Chacun Pour Soi had his odds for the Queen Mother Champion Chase trimmed to 3-1 after an easy 19-length win in the Hilly Way Chase at Cork.
It was a first run for the Paul Townend-ridden chaser since winning the Dublin Chase at Leopardstown in February.
The Willie Mullins-trained chaser was well in control when nearest pursuers Cash Back and Djingle came down at the last fence.

Paul Nicholls-trained Tingle Creek Chase winner Politologue, winner of last season’s Champion Chase, is 8-1 to retain his title.
Nicky Henderson’s Altior, the dual Champion Chase winner who was a late withdrawal for the Tingle Creek, is 6-1. He is now being aimed at the Desert Orchid Chase at Kempton on December 27.
Mullins-trained Min also emerged out of the Punchestown fog to win his third John Durkin Memorial Chase.
