FRENCH RACING TIPS: All the best bets for Wednesday’s meeting at La Teste De Buch as Serkiyna seeks to impress in the Prix Nelcius
- Trainer Jean-Claude Rouget is doubly represented with Serkiyna and Rosmana
- Serkiyna shed her maiden tag at the fifth attempt at Cagnes-Sur-Mer in February
- Oftenwork could provide the chief threat after a couple of creditable efforts
French racing takes a picturesque journey on Wednesday to the south west coast and the charms of La Teste De Buch for the Prix Nelcius.
Trainer Jean-Claude Rouget is doubly represented with the Aga Khan-owned duo of SERKIYNA (1.07) and stablemate Rosmana with the latter trying to put behind her an abject display on her Pornichet comeback at the beginning of March.
With Rosmana having questions to answer, preference is for Serkiyna who shed her maiden tag at the fifth attempt in a Cagnes-Sur-Mer maiden in February courtesy of a strong finishing effort from the furlong marker.

Related to multiple winner Saryshagann, trained by David O’Meara, Serkiyna responded more favourably to rather more patient tactics than were employed on her comeback over the same course and distance in January.
That day, Christophe Soumillon was arguably too aggressive on his mount, picking up the running in the back straight and kicking for home some way out.
The mid-race move appeared to cost Serkiyna as she faded close home and was picked off by Villa Royale late on, but she should put her experience to good use in this conditions contest.
Of her other rivals, Oftenwork could provide the chief threat having run a couple of creditable efforts under talented apprentice Lily De Pemp.
Trainer Didier Guillemin produced a two-year-old debutante winner at Wednesday’s venue so the Maxois colt is unlikely to want for fitness following a near three-month absence.
