Gordon Elliott’s Tiger Roll WITHDRAWN from Aintree’s Grand National

BREAKING NEWS: Gordon Elliott’s dual Grand National winner Tiger Roll WITHDRAWN from this year’s Aintree showpiece over ‘unfair weight’

Dual Grand National winner Tiger Roll, trained by Gordon Elliott, has been withdrawn from Aintree’s most famous steeplechase this year.

Owners Gigginstown Stud revealed the decision on Tuesday morning and said the popular horse would not feature next month due to ‘unfair weight’.

The news comes after Irish trainer Elliott was temporarily banned from entering horses into British races and is being investigated by the British Horseracing Authority after a grotesque picture emerged of him posing astride a dead horse.
